The village of Ban Sao has 330 inhabitants and is the first village where TdS has been active. Financed by the Geneva Industrial Services (SIG) and built in 2009. Until then, villagers had no water supply and were supplied by lead-contaminated rivers several kilometres away. Access to safe drinking was an emergency measure for the community. Access to drinking water has considerably improved the community’s living conditions.
