In the name of the entire TdS team, I would like to wish you a Happy New Year 2020! I take this opportunity to thank all the people who support us in our projects and who place their trust in us. I send you all our wishes of Joy, Love, Health and Success for this New Year.
We are very pleased to announce the generous support of Peter and Marlene Schmid (from Cartginy-GE) to enable us to launch the very first kiosk site of our Lao Aqua Empowerment Initiative, having already supported the establishment of three water wells in 2018. The objective of this Initiative is to respond to the acute need for access to safe drinking water in rural Lao communities, as well as create jobs and ensure a self-sustained prosperity and improved livelihood in these communities in the longer term
We have already planned a field mission imminently, in order to pave the ground and finalise the pertinent details in Laos, so we can begin site construction activities in the beginning of 2020.
Following the Extraordinary General Assembly of March 17, I am pleased to present below the new 2019-2021 Committee, which is composed as follows:
– President: Soli Makohliso ;
– Vice-President: Davone Tran;
– Project Director: Mélanie Zermatten;
– Secretary: Natacha Grasselli Erhabor ;
– Treasurer: Dragan Jakovjevic.
Considering the amount of our current project, we turned to companies specialized in this field.
As a result, Mr. Dragan Jakovjevic, Director of the Fiduciaire Veg Consulting Sàrl, has been elected Treasurer and the Geneva-based Fiduciaire CCCG SA will be appointed at the end of the fiscal year to represent the audit body and ensure its verification.
Our ongoing project “Lao Aqua Empowerment” was presented on Tuesday 19 March to the Ambassador of Laos, Mr Kham Ihn Khitchadeth.
He was very enthusiastic about the whole project and the concept of water kiosks that address sustainability and empowerment issues of rural communities.
We obtained his agreement to launch the project, a crucial step in our process !
The TdS team wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
